A tax evasion scandal involving the tiny country of Lichtenstein has roiled German politics. Now it has crossed the pond:
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service said it will investigate more than 100 Americans who may be avoiding taxes by hiding money in Liechtenstein bank accounts.The tax collection agency said it will work with officials in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden and the United Kingdom to obtain records and prosecute tax fraud. The IRS didn't identify any of the targets of the probe.
