"Say it ain't so Joe!" Surely you own a congressman/woman or two. I don't remember many in Iowa crying when the ethanol tax credits were voted into tax law! As a matter of fact, I still don't hear many in Iowa moaning about the ethanol tax credits, even though these credits have added a hidden burden to everything we buy that has corn in it! If it helps sell corn, then somehow it must be good for Iowa, no?

Sadly, while Senators are cheap, they aren't free, and I have yet to buy one.
It's the old "seen and unseen" thing that applies to so many things. We see that a few farmers are happy, and millions of the rest of us don't see how the happiness is coming out of our wallets a little at a time.
