Robert D Flach muses on the price of progress and the joys of manual return preparation. He's welcome to it, but you can have MY computer and my tax prep software when peel away my cold, dead fingers.

JK-
While I do not use my computer to actually prepare tax returns, and could still prepare tax returns even if I did not have a computer, I certainly would not want to give it up. A computer is invaluable even to me in preparing tax returns because of the many resources available on the internet.
I have also fully embraced word processing, and could not do without it.
And, besides, I could not blog without a computer! I would have to find another excuse to avoid working on GD extensions.
So you would have to “peel away my cold, dead fingers” to get my computer also.
Now tax preparation software is a whole ‘nother subject.
