The Des Moines Register reports:
Gov. Chet Culver today signed into law bills to expand tax breaks for historic sites and to make it easier for Iowa to expand passenger rail service.“By making it easier to connect between our state and key cities throughout the Midwest and the nation, we can attract new companies and bring new jobs to Iowa,” Culver said before signing the rail bill, Senate File 151.
Here in Iowa, the future lies technology that has been obsolete for 50 years, and in old vacant buildings. But at least we'll have plenty of time to read on the way.
