Tax protesters can be unusual, but "Commander-in-Chief Derrick 'Black-Hawk' Sanders" stands out even in a crowd that includes Ed Brown and Al Thompson. Mr. Sanders was enjoined last week from advising folks that they were tax-exempt members of the "Yamassee Native American Tribe."
Wikipedia describes the Yamassee:
While the name "Yamassee" comes from the name of a Creek Native American group, Derrick Sanders's "Yamassee Native Americans" are not that group but are African Americans who believe that they are descendants of "Native American Moors" who came to America from Africa over an ancient land bridge. The group incorporates elements of patriot mythology to insist that they are a legally independent and sovereign nation and that the laws of the United States governments do not apply to them.

O-kay, then.
The court order requires the Yamassee to post the injunction on their web site. Don't miss it.
