STRIP CLUB OWNER PLEADS GUILTY TO TAX CHEATING

October 04, 2006

Getting your income in cash can be quite a temptation to cheat on taxes, one that James Andrew Yeager couldn't resist:

Yeager diverted money from his businesses for personal use without recording that money in the businesses’ books, U.S. Attorney Bradley J. Schlozman said in a news release.

I would have tried to use different wording than the U.S. Attorney did in explaining the crime:

Cash exchanges, such as Yeager’s cut of the lap dances his female employees gave, were falling through the accounting cracks, said Don Ledford, a Schlozman spokesman.

Maybe Yeager need to get felt on the table. Those pool tables can require a great deal of maintenance.

Perhaps Yeager got a tad excited and forgot what was in his pocket when he was counting receipts.

It's easy to see how such things can be forgotten behind mounds of paperwork.

I'll stop now.
