If you've ever prepared a tax return for a minister or rabbi, you know they can be surprisingly difficult (the return, I mean, but sometimes the preacher too). The TaxProf tells of a new case involving a preacher who traveled so much that he couldn't deduct his traveling expenses. You can only deduct expenses for traveling "away from home," and he wasn't in one place long enough to have a home.
The good professor today also features a very helpful comprehensive article on the tax tribulations of preaching.
