BLOGGER BASH SHOUT-OUT

If you miss a meeting, chances are you get named to a committee. That's what happened when I failed to show up in Iowa City at the recent blogger bash. Now I get to plan the next one. If you are an Iowa blogger, please read the extended entry below; I need to know whether strawberry or lime Jello is best for the wrestling event.

I am thinking mid to late January in Des Moines, or vicinity. I am looking at wifi-enabled bars with good drink prices but without vermin or biting insect problems. The only other time that seems sensible is late October or the first half of November. January risks weather problems, but it is about 6 months from now, when everyone is likely to need to unwind.
The Iowa Libertarian is also looking to help out, so feel free to contact him with ideas. You know he's excited; the prospect of another bash even has him posting again!

I think mid January-ish is about right. Don't want to have them so close together that they get routine, but once we cross into November, December, we're fighting all of the major holidays, family get-togethers, office parties, etc., etc., and so forth.
Wi-fi bar, etc., good to have. Jello wrestling would be a nice bonus.
